The 25% Pledge

For every 4kg of Woof & Cook meals sold, we donate 1kg of meals to shelters and rescue communities. That is 25% of everything we sell, given as food, not as a line in an annual report.

We started Woof & Cook because dogs deserve food made with real, human-grade ingredients. The pledge comes from the same belief: every dog deserves a bowl worth being proud of, whether they sleep on a sofa or in a shelter.

CHANGE YOU CAN SEE

Why feeding shelters matters

Shelters run on tight budgets, and every rupee spent on food is a rupee not spent on vaccines, sterilisation or surgery. Giving food directly frees that budget for medical care.

With your support, we aim to fund shelters at scale, and provide street dogs across India access to healthy meals and medical care.

We're happy to work with any registered NGO or shelter that asks.

HOW OUR PLEDGE WORKS

Whatever you buy, we match and send 25% to our registered shelters. The shelters are registered NGOs that we have verified.

Adopt a rescue. Your first month of food is on us.

Bringing home a rescue dog is the best decision you'll make this year. The first month is also the hardest: new routine, new tummy, new everything. So we'll feed your new family member for free for 30 days.

How it works

1. Adopt a dog from a registered shelter or rescue (Mylos, CARE or any registered NGO).

2. Share your adoption proof: a certificate, adoption form or a note from the rescue.

3. We pick the right recipe for their breed, size and life stage, vet-formulated and cooked fresh.

4. One month of fresh food arrives at your door, delivery included.

Why we do it

Rescue dogs often arrive with sensitive stomachs, stress and no feeding history. A fresh, gentle, vet-formulated diet in the first weeks helps them settle, and takes one cost off a new adopter's plate. Fewer returns, more forever homes.

What is the 25% on?

Of food sold. For every 4kg of meals we sell, we donate 1kg, whether or not that month turns a profit.

Who receives the food?

Local shelters and rescue communities, including our partners Mylos and CARE. Registered NGOs can apply by contacting us.

How do I claim the free month after adopting?

Provide your adoption proof from a registered NGO/Shelter. We'll confirm within 3 working days and schedule your first delivery.

Does the free month cover any dog?

It covers dogs adopted from a registered shelter or rescue. We choose the recipe for your dog's breed, size and life stage.

How can I see where the food goes?

We'll publish quarterly updates on this page: kilograms donated and the shelters served.

How do I switch my dog to fresh food?

We’ll send you a simple transition guide. Start by mixing small amounts of our fresh meals with your dog’s current food and increase gradually over several days. This gentle transition helps your dog’s digestion adjust smoothly.

Can I mix Woof & Cook food with kibble or my own meals?

Yes you can! Many pet parents mix our food with kibble or other foods for variety. Just remember to adjust portions to meet your dog’s daily calorie needs.

Can I heat or freeze meals?

Our food is cooked fresh, then delivered cold. You can refrigerate or freeze the meals. If your dog prefers, our food can be gently warmed, don’t overheat the food so the nutrients are preserved.

What if my dog is picky or has food sensitivities?

We specialize in helping picky eaters and sensitive tummies! Our recipes are simple, transparent, and can be tailored to suit most allergies and dietary needs. If your dog is hesitant, we offer advice, support and alternative recipes until you both love mealtimes.

What if my dog has digestive issues during the switch?

Mild digestive changes are normal when trying new food. Transition slowly and contact us if issues persist. We’re here to help troubleshoot and customize meals.

How is portion size decided and why does it change?

We use your dog’s unique profile (age, weight, breed, activity) to determine their perfect portion. As your dog grows or changes, just update the profile and we’ll adjust their plan.

What health benefits can I expect?

Pet parents report visible benefits, shinier coat, increased energy, healthier digestion, less itching, and overall vitality. Every meal supports your dog’s best, happiest life.

Is there science behind your food?

Yes! All our recipes are formulated by vets and our chefs according to both AAFCO standards and the Indian Standard (BIS, 2019) for Pet Food (IS 11968 : 2019). They are then tested to ensure your dog receives tasty, safe, balanced, proven nutrition.

Where are your ingredients from?

We partner with trusted local farms and suppliers for fresh and responsibly sourced meat and vegetables. Our ingredients are a quality we’re proud of, from our kitchen to your dog’s bowl.

Are there preservatives in your food?

None. Our food stays fresh thanks to refrigeration and gentle cooking. We never use chemicals, preservatives or high temperature treatments (retort packing).

How long do meals last?

Keep meals refrigerated if you’ll use them soon, or freeze for longer storage. Check your delivery for best-by dates. Your pup always gets the freshest meals.

Is there a trial option?

Yes! Try you can order our trial packs or just order a few portions with no commitment.

Can I customize meals to my dog's needs?

Every plan is personalized. Let us know about weight goals, sensitivities, or allergies and we’ll craft your dog’s recipes accordingly. You can tell us if you have any particular preferences.

Can I update my dog’s details?

Yes! Log in anytime to update your dog’s age, weight, activity, or any special requirements, your plan will always be perfectly tailored.

What does human-grade food mean?

Every ingredient, as well as the kitchen, packing, storage, handling and shipping - must meet human food standards. The kitchen must be licensed and inspected as a human kitchen for safety and cleanliness. All of which means the food is fit for human consumption.

Does one meal fulfill my dog’s entire daily nutritional requirement?

Yes! Each of our meals is carefully prepared to provide your dog with a complete day’s worth of balanced nutrition. If your dog prefers to eat multiple smaller meals throughout the day, you can easily divide the portion to suit their eating habits.

What does complete food mean? Do I need supplements?

“Complete food” means the product contains all the essential nutrients a dog needs for its specific life stage, in the right proportions, to support overall health and energy requirements. This is defined and regulated by organizations like AAFCO and the Bureau of Indian Standards, ensuring the food can be fed as a dog's sole diet without nutritional gaps. If your dog eats complete food meals provided by Woof & Cook, supplements are generally not needed unless recommended by your veterinarian for specific health reasons.

How many treats should I give?

Treats can be a fun way to reward and bond with your dog, but they should be given in moderation. Just like pet parents need to balance indulgences like chocolate with extra activity, dogs need to compensate for the extra calories from treats through additional exercise. With a complete meal from Woof & Cook, treats aren’t necessary for your dog’s health. If you do give treats, keeping them small, infrequent, and balanced with play or walks helps maintain your dog’s healthy weight and well-being while keeping treat time enjoyable and positive.

Why use Woof & Cook instead of cooking dog food at home?

We know your home cooked food is paw-some! Similarly our food is designed to be highly palatable with appealing aromas that excite dogs - it’s also perfectly nutritionally balanced to help ensure your best friend stays healthy. Our meals are varied, and crafted with expert care to restaurant standards - ensuring your pet enjoys fresh, tasty, and healthy meals without any guesswork. Convenience, health benefits, and variety makes Woof & Cook an easy choice.

What if I have multiple dogs?

We happily provide plans and discounts for households with more than one dog, each with their own custom profile. Feel free to reach out to us to discuss.
